James and Kathryn

Wedding Details

Ceremony
St Peter’s Church, Upper Arley.

Drink’s Reception
Italian Garden at Arley Arboretum (hired from The Roger & Douglas Turner Charitable Trust via Arley House), followed by the rear lawn of Arley House.

The Finer Details
Guests were served English sparkling wine, and delectable finger canapés in the Italian Garden, whilst a soul band played to the delight of James & Kathryn’s guests. After taking a picturesque walk through the gardens, guests were treated to fabulous G&Ts at Arley House from the bespoke Gin Bar.

Wedding Breakfast
The Valentia Suite, Arley House.

With décor in shades of gold, caramel, sage greens and merlot the Valentia Suite looked stunning with high floral table centres, lime washed Chiavari chairs and sumptuous linens.

Guests were treated to sharing boards of Charcuterie, delicious warm rustic breads, olives and sundried tomatoes from Arley House Kitchen. Executive Chef Richard Stuart slow roasted saddles of Lamb and baked herb crusted cod fillets, served with a panache of seasonal vegetables. Passion fruit panna cotta and iced lemon & lime posset followed with speeches, laughter and fizz to toast.

The Evening Celebrations
James & Kathryn then cut their wedding cake, created by the talented Charlotte of Farmhouse cakes, before taking their first dance as husband and wife. Evening food was served direct from Arley House’s wood fired oven, with chef creating artisan pizzas with a variety of delicious toppings on the rear terrace.

Important Update

As we continue our commitment to sustainability and improving our guest experience, we’re excited to share that the entire Arley Estate — including the Tearoom and Events Venue — will be going cashless from January 2026. This change helps us reduce our environmental impact, streamline operations, and support a more efficient, secure, and modern way of working across the estate. We’ll continue to accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as contactless and mobile payments. Our team is, of course, here to support anyone who may need a little extra help adjusting to the new system. Thank you for joining us on this positive step towards a greener future for Arley Estate.
