Arley Arboretum is committed to education, conservation, and sustainability. With over 300 species of trees, restored gardens, and a rich natural landscape, the estate provides an inspiring setting for learning at every level.
We welcome school groups, home educators, and child minders looking for meaningful outdoor learning experiences. Our grounds offer hands-on opportunities to explore ecology, botany, conservation, and environmental science in a real-world setting. We can work with teachers and group leaders to tailor visits to your curriculum needs.
For adult learners, we offer a growing programme of workshops and courses focused on health and wellbeing, mindfulness, and horticultural skills. Set within the peaceful surroundings of the arboretum, these sessions provide a chance to learn, reflect, and reconnect with nature.
Conservation is at the core of what we do. As custodians of one of Britain’s oldest arboretums, we are actively involved in the preservation of rare and significant tree species, habitat management, and sustainable land practices. We work alongside conservation bodies to ensure that Arley remains a vital resource for future generations.

As we continue our commitment to sustainability and improving our guest experience, we’re excited to share that the entire Arley Estate — including the Tearoom and Events Venue — will be going cashless from January 2026.
